When I called Lynette this morning Colleen was holding Olive and Lynette was snuggled up beside Colleen. Baby Olive has not been back in her Isolette since she was taken off the ventilator over a day and a half. Lynette held her for 5 hours today, and Rusty, Colleen, Stacia, Libby took their turns around the clock. I talked to her at 7:30 AM our time which was 7:30 pm their time. They are always a day ahead of us. She was happy, but very tired. Pray for her to be able to get her rest. And pray for Baby Olive's head to heal. It continues to concern us.
Lynette says Stacia has been helping mothers pump breast milk in the waiting room. The ICU is full of new babies with lots of babies from the Hill Tribe people whose parents cannot communicate with the Thai nurses. This creates a lot of communication issues and many more opportunities for ministry.
Stacia got to see the Akha village today where Luka is from. Luka's parents were the first Akha Christians and are still living. They are Lynette's grandparent's age. I thought she would be shocked, but instead she "loved it." Stacia is a "missionary" in America and abroad. Bless her heart!
